Cabin Trip 2008

sung to the tune of "Gilligan's Island"
[one of my all-time favorite shows]

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of fun-filled trip.
From Oklahoma to New Mexico
And then right back - round trip.

The vans were loaded down with food,
With clothing, kids and games.
Ten people in two vans head west
"To the mountains," they exclaim.

One day they went to Cimarron,
Heard tales of a ghost-filled inn.
Watched Boy Scouts at Philmont,
And even rode their Schwins.

They hiked to a really cool waterfall,
Drank water from the creek.
At Taos, they saw the Pueblo,
The Gorge and mountain peaks.

The 4th of July - it was such fun,
The parade and all that candy.
The fireworks over the lake were cool
In fact, it was quite dandy.

So, you can tell by all the fun we had,
It was an excellent trip.
We might even do it again next year,
But with more tortilla chips!

at Clear Water Creek - the trail we hiked...you can drink the water from this log - very cool!

at "The Cave"... to be said mysteriously
(it's not so mysterious...about 10 feet from the opening to the back wall)
